More than a quarter of teenagers in England are “interested in working for Amazon”, according to a study by the UK’s National Centre for Social Research.
In the latest data from the National Center for Social, the findings show that nearly one in five teenagers said they would be interested in a job in the internet giant.
In fact, the majority of people surveyed were interested in working at Amazon.
The survey found that 52 percent of people aged between 16 and 19 were interested, while just 19 percent of those aged 20 to 24 were.
While there is no official data on Amazon’s employment rates, the centre has been tracking the trend for several years.
It released a survey last year that found that the number of jobs available to young people in the UK has fallen significantly in recent years, particularly for young men.
According to the research, the average salary for a 16-year-old in the first year of employment was just over £9,000, while a job requiring at least a degree earned just over $30,000.
