Joe Buck, the former Atlanta Braves star who is now a sports analyst on ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” joined the team in 2014.
He was hired in May 2018 as a special assistant to the team’s president of baseball operations, Scott Boras.
In his role, Buck will oversee the team and its minor league affiliates.
Buck will also oversee the Braves’ minor league affiliate in Augusta, Georgia, where the team plays in the first-base and outfield.
The Braves have a $1.6 million buyout of Buck’s contract and have no option to buy him out.
The team has said it will make the buyout payments when the buyouts become final.
